Here is one of those books we define “long lasting”. In this sense, this book works like a lipstick. While the latter lasts hours on our lips, a book like this lasts forever in our heart! We are speaking about The Truth That Sets Free, the religion book written by Samuel Faith Laye NgaFeeson. That is a short book, only 164 pages, but very meaningful.
Through ten chapters, the author explores “The Untaught Secrets of Winning Every Battle”, ( buy here), namely those secrets that often no-one learns during his/her faith path. These untaught secrets are also the subtitle of the book. In this way, Samuel wanted to keep our soul and our mind in touch with God.
Thanks to this book, I finally learned many things. For instance, I understood what is the original sin and the sin against the Holy Spirit. These two important theological topics have often caused quarrels among several religions, but according the thought of the author, the original sin and the sin against the Holy Spirit come from the same origin: the doubt. When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they believed in what the deceiver snake told them, namely they would become like God, and so they didn’t believe in God, in his love and caring, in short: they doubted of Him!
This doubt, which is the doubt that haunts every man, is the origin of evil in the world and all this explains the term “original sin”. About The Sin against The Holy Spirit, have you never noticed that priests never speak about this sin? The sin against the Holy Spirit is reported in the Gospel, the sentence about this sin is also quoted in the book: “… And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. (Matthew 12:31–32).
Said like this, these words sound like a dark and apocalyptic warning about the tragic destiny of those who commit this sin. In reality, this sentence, pronounced by Jesus while He was replying to the Pharisees, doesn’t mean that God doesn’t forgive this sin, but only that The Son of God can forgive the sin. In the book, the author explains that believing in the Father and The Holy Ghost is not sufficient to be forgiven, because only the Son holds the power to forgive sins. In this book, hence, by carrying out a subtle comparison between the verses of the Bible and the Gospel, the author makes a real lesson of faith.
An only review is too much little to show the greatness of this book. Read, for example, the chapter about “The Birth of Insecurity and Inferiority”, two feelings that the modern human beings know very well and which are caused by the dark influence of the devil has on our soul, or the final chapter about adultery titled “The Truth and the Barren Woman”. In this work, every chapter and word lead toward the truth and we can assure you that after reading this book a warm wave of serenity and wisdom will take over your heart.
