Dear readers, authors and artists, with this post I want to inform you that this literary blog will resume to publish articles, reviews, interviews and press releases as of August, 30, 2016. I am on holidays for a couple of weeks and I’ll come back to work at the end of the month. Mine has been a great year of hard job with several and new book promotion services for indie writers and self-published authors. Some of them bought my services, many others refused to pay for my services as soon as they have visited the book submission page.
I hope the next working season will go better, because to launch and promote anything, we must pay. It is a global rule. The Internet has spoiled people and accustomed them to seek only for free services, but if I had done free services, this literary blog would have closed very soon. At the end of August, I’ll come back to work with my book promotion services, and with new services turned to both foreign and Italian authors, such as, for example, submit books and editorial proposals to Italian publishers, or foreign publishers in the case of Italian authors. I want to also continue offering translation services and press releases to give global exposure to authors.
The world is big and there is still a room for everyone, but to gain this room and a good exposure we must do a hard job of book and art promotion. I wish great holidays to you, and also look forward to hearing about your books and your works. During my absence, you can submit your book anyway and any time. I’ll reply to you as of the end of August. Now, I also hope you trust me and don’t hate my paid book promotion services. No-one works for free and not even I work for free.
This is my greatest battle to persuade people to start buying professional services to promote their works. Books are a hard niche because readers don’t read many books anymore, they prefer to watch podcasts and pictures on the Social Networks. To push readers in buying and read books, we need to promote ourselves. I also spent money to promote this literary blog as soon as I founded it and indeed, today, the blog has gained global exposure because it is based in Italy and has been written in English and Italian.
I am not the person who asks for a fee and that at last does not pay to promote herself. I am honest and not a hypocrite. It is also true that this literary blog, also with a wrong name, advices and not advice ( because the right name was not available) has gained the trust and respect of readers. My book reviews have always been written with honesty and passion but, please, don’t ask me to browse a new book for free because I wouldn’t be able to find time to review it and share the review through the blog with SEO strategies and social sharing.
I can read some pages for free, I agree, but I can’t show my opinion to my Italian, European and foreign readers because this is publicity. If you want to be a successful author, you must think of your book as a business, not a hobby. If you write for leisure, you can also wait for voluntary reviews from readers, but if you want the most, you must engage yourself in an excellent and hard book marketing campaign. Choose all services you want, also on other literary blogs, but, please, pay for what you want! Good holidays to you, also. See you at the end of August.
